Treat yourself to a Monday or Friday away and discover the most stunning descents in the mountains around Andermatt. Our mountain guides will be looking for fresh powder or sunshine – with a bit of luck even both together. Plenty of space is guaranteed: in the ski lifts, at the summit and when skiing!

This tours is suitable only for skiers.

Piste: confident on skis; Powder snow: beginner experience necessary; Terrain: moderately steep, some steeper sections

Duration from 2 to 4 hours, up to approx. 300 to 400 vertical meters, approx. 250 vertical meters per hour, good level of fitness for all-day skiing

The offer is held in German. Therefore, a basic understanding of German is important. Our mountain guides have a basic knowledge of English and can provide the necessary information in English. Often there are guests on the tours and courses who are happy to help with the translation.

Program

Day 1 Short ascents, long descents, that's the motto. Thanks to the touring equipment, you can quickly get out of the ski area into the remote valleys around Nätschen and Gemsstock and almost always find fresh powder and unforgettable runs.

Rental equipment

Our mountain guide will bring the ordered rental equipment to the meeting place. The following equipment can be rented:

  • Barryvox (Avalanche Transceiver)

  • Freeride skis with climbing skins, poles, ski crampons and insurance
  • Freeride boots
  • Eiger Extreme Hardshell Jacket to test

Clothing
  • 1x Ski jacket and 1x ski pants (Gore-Tex or similar material)
  • 1x Soft shell and/or fleece jacket
  • 1x Short/long functional underwear
  • 1x Beanie and 1x headband
  • 2 pairs of gloves (1 thin pair, 1 warm, windproof and waterproof pair)
  • 1x Functional socks and 1x spare socks
Food
  • Snacks (e.g. energy bars, dried fruit,)
  • Lunch at the restaurant or in open field (the guide will inform you)

  • Sunglasses and ski goggles
