Freeriding X Wellness - Andermatt

Over 100 powder snow descents (CH) | 3 days

Andermatt's freeriding and touring area, with its almost legendary certainty of snow, encompasses an area of 300 km², with summit heights up to 3,200 m and over 100 powder descents. There are always untouched slopes to discover here. And if the conditions don't live up to our promise for once, then it's only a short ride south on our MAMMUT Alpine School bus to the Airolo and Carì ski areas or north towards Engelberg to our insider tip, Haldigrat.

This tours is suitable only for skiers.

Day 1 Individual arrival at Andermatt and welcome by the mountain guide. Following a short introduction to avalanche transceivers/safety, you’ll head out into the powder snow. In the evening you can relax in the Hotel spa and wellness center.

Day 2 to 3 Our mountain guides know the freeride opportunities around Andermatt like the back of their hand. Depending on snow conditions, they will choose the most suitable descents and ensure you have plenty of powder snow fun. Possible destinations include the short but no less varied runs at Nätschen, one of the countless Felsental options or the famous Giraffe on the Gemsstock. A brisk day's touring includes a short ascent to Rothorn, descent to Schatzfirn and a second ascent to Rotstocklücke with a gigantic descent to Hospental. Or want to head south? If so, there's a great descent via the Gloggentürmli to Airolo. If the conditions are better in the very close Engelber, we are flexible and postpone our runs to Engelberg.
